Nice to hear from you again, Reid, though I totally understand the bit about having too much to do in real life!

Kat

Glad to see you're back! Those macarons look great! Take care!

Mama Bok

Hey.. Reid,
Glad to see that you are well albeit busy.. :)
I do miss you posts so much though...!!

Chandler

Great to hear from you again,
Reid. That tataki sashimi looks sooooooo good. It's one of my favorites. Can't find in in sunny Central Oregon though. Alas........(got to go to Portland)

Cathy

Hang in there Reid - I'll keep my fingers crossed that life slows down for you sometime soon.

Ohh, macarons...

Joanne

I can totally relate to the life-is-too-busy sentiment! I'm glad to see a new post though! :)

jezz_jazz

Welcome back, Reid!
We missed you - Mr. Wonderful (hubby) has become a loyal fan and reader also, and he wondered about your lack of posts. I had to tell him several times that you were probably busy.
:(
Anyway, good to "hear" your voice. Hope things are going well for you!

Veruca salt

Howdy, so good to hear from you again. I thought we had lost you.

I patiently await your new posts.

RONW

remember too, you still can post pictures alone. Words we read....pictures we can eat, or at least, chew on.

Kirk

Hi Reid - Good to know that you're still hanging in there. Hope things settle down a bit for you. Hope you're able to get some rest.

Clinton

Reid,
Still check you out every day to see what's happening. Glad you're back and hope everything gets back to normal. Now, let's eat!

Sophie

Oh goody, we can drool again--we don't need to read, just see a few yummy pictures every once in a while! Good to see you back, and thanks, Reid!

kelly

aloha brah!

aikochan11

Hi Reid =
Hey, it's understandable about the break in posts! Life precedes pretty much everything right? I'm super glad to see you back though, been checking the site religiously everyday, havin fun rereading older posts. Gotta say, I've eaten really well after reading reviews of the restaurants you've visited :) You're doing all us Oahu'ers a service by letting us know what's hot and not. Keep up the good work but always make sure this blog is a pleasure and not a chore!

alan

Hey Reid, I can totally relate! I look forward to more good reviews when your time and energy allow...

cindy

glad to know you're still alive and eating extremely well! :) take care!

sunshine

hey =) i love this site it makes me hungry!!

Reid

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for stopping by. I sure hope that you find the time to drop by too!

Hi Kat,

Thanks! Since I've never had a macaron before, I'd have to say these were OK. I'm looking to have some from Pierre Herme.

Hello Mama Bok,

I wish I weren't so busy....*sigh* I need more relaxation time! Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Chandler,

Thank you. The tataki sashimi from Ethel's is sooooo good! I wish I could eat here more often.

Hi Cathy,

Well, life's going to have to slow down because I have just two and a half weeks to go until my vacation! Woo hoo!

Hi Joanne,

Thank you for dropping by and welcome!

Life shouldn't be too busy to enjoy the pleasures of life right?

Hi jezz_jazz,

Yes, life is much too busy right now, but in a good way. It actually means that things are getting better, which is how we want it to be.

Thanks for your support and for stopping by.

Hi Veruca Salt,

Lost me? Oh dear. I think I need to leave some breadcrumbs around every now and again.

Thanks for standing by.

Hi RONW,

Thanks for your support. I know waht you mean about posting photos...I'll have to remember that!

Hi Kirk,

THANK YOU for everything. Your support means a lot. Things have slowed down for me a little, and they seem to have picked up for you too.

I think we all need to hang in there...I'll be getting lots of rest in a couple of weeks!

Hi Clinton,

I appreciate your support. I will be a while before things truly return to normal, but at least I will have some time to eat/post again!

And yes, let's eat!

Hi Sophie,

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope the food I eat (and the photos I take) are drool worthy enough for you!

Hi Kelly,

Thanks!

Hi Aikochan,

Welcome to the blog and thank you for your kind words! They are greatly appreciated. I'm glad you've found the blog useful and I'll glad that you've had a chance to read some of the older stuff.

Hopefully, the new stuff will make good reading too.

Hi Alan,

I'm sure you can. Seems like you've been way too busy as well. I hope things slow down a bit for you too.

Hi Cindy,

Still alive? Yes....most definitely! Eating well? Of course...I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks...and you take care too!

Hi Sunshine,

Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad you enjoy the site. Come to think of it, I'm hungry too! =)

Equipment

  • Canoneos5d
    Canon EOS 5D

Most of the newer photos on this site are being taken by this camera. I'm still learning how to use it, but I think the photos it takes are amazing. Though the lens I use often varies, many of the photos on this site are taken with a Canon EF 35mm f2.0 lens.

  • Dscu40r
    Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-U40

A majority of the photos on this site were shot using this little camera. It was compact and discreet -- excellent for taking photos under most conditions. Sadly, it has recently died.
