Dining Out - San Francisco, California
This year's Memorial Day vacation to San Francisco proved to be much more exciting than last year's. Last time, the highlight of the trip might have been the visit I paid to Burma Superstar. This year, I visited so many different places and tried so many different things that the good definitely outweighed the bad. For the most part, the food was interesting and delicious. Service, however, ranged from exceptional to downright poor.
More information is forthcoming, but in case you're wondering I dined at the following:
Yank Sing
Aziza
Canteen
Dragonfly
Indonesia Restaurant (I just had to visit again!)
Limón
Zuni Café
Shalimar
Chez Panisse Café
It's a shame that I couldn't get a table at Michael Mina when David Burke, of davidburke & donatella, was cooking there on the 25th (the day I arrived in town). Now that would have really been something.
wow, reid, that's a lot of restaurants! looking forward to reading your reviews. i've only been to yank sing, zuni, and chez panisse cafe, but they were all so long ago....

Hi Santos,
I'm waiting to see what you have in store for us when you get back from LA!
Hi Kirk,
I was in SF for 4 1/2 days! Just long enough to eat at all of these places. I did eat at In-N-Out as well. I couldn't ever miss that!
Hi Milgwimper,
I should have e-mailed you to let you know I was coming, but then I got wrapped in all my plans...please forgive me! I'll be making this trek to SF yearly from now on....so I hope to see you next Memorial Day.
Hi Lajja,
I LOVED Shalimar! And I loved Limon too! In that order. =P
Hi Isobal,
Welcome to the blog.
All of the food I ate on this vacation was wonderful and the food at Chez Panisse Cafe was no exception.
