I agree with you

Since you live downtown, there's another Sanit Germain Bakery near you. It's on Beretania St. in the same building as Grace's Drive Inn next to Time Super Market. It's a smaller place than the ones in Ala Moana and I'm not sure if they carry all the things that the Ala Moana ones carry. But you won't have to fight traffic and there's a lot of parking. BTW. have a good trip and be safe......

I think we did have a St Germains in singapore too.. but i may be wrong.. maybe in Hong Kong.. i can't remember now.. been to .. too many places.. my memory failing me.. since i had chloe.... hahahha!!

Hi Paul,

Thanks for dropping by the blog. What is it that you agree to?

Hi lance,

Thanks for the tip. I never knew about the location on Beretania. Is it where Hakuyosha used to be?

I don't mind the parking at Ala Moana. I'm usually there every Saturday anyway.

Hi MrsT,

My mind sometimes does that to me too. I'm getting really old. Since your daughter is so young, I'm not sure that you're as old as I am. I'll look out for Saint Germain in Singapore and will let you know if I see one there. Do you know where it would be?

I think it is at the location that Hakuyosha used to be at or next to it. I just rushed in to buy bread, since Fuji Pan was closed. That's another place were their rolls and assorted pastries looks good. I can't tell you how they taste, as I'm not much into desserts. Well, except pies.

The coconut and sweet potato are my favorites. When I was back home, I went to the St. Germains on the lower level and went to the nearby Starbucks (in Sears), grabbed a cup of coffee, and enjoyed my meal.

Hi Lance,

I haven't been to Fujipan in years...and it's right near my apartment. I'll have to stop by soon. I like all kinds of desserts...when they're good! =)

I normally do the same thing. Pick up a buttermilk bar then go to Starbucks for coffeee. It's a wonderful thing.

Hey..Reid.. :)
Honestly i can't remember.. and i'm 40 this year.. :)

Hi MrsT,

I'll be there soon too...just a couple of years away! =)

See i'm older.. yay!!1 :P

judi wilson

too far from Hawaii in eastern Canada to get to Delite Bakery to pick up a Guava Chiffon Cake for a party here...can you provide a picture.

Hi Judi,

Thanks for dropping by all the way from Canada! I hope you enjoyed the journey. =)

I have thought about stopping by Dee Lite Bakery, but haven't gotten around to it. I know they remodelled the inside of the bakery and I want to get a shot of the original sign before they take it down. Who knows how much longer it's going to be up, especially now that they are part of Saint Germain. The guava chiffon was one of my favorites as was the rainbow chiffon. Look for it soon!

Most of the newer photos on this site are being taken by this camera. I'm still learning how to use it, but I think the photos it takes are amazing. Though the lens I use often varies, many of the photos on this site are taken with a Canon EF 35mm f2.0 lens.

A majority of the photos on this site were shot using this little camera. It was compact and discreet -- excellent for taking photos under most conditions. Sadly, it has recently died.
