Min, thanks for the compliment. There are just so many Korean restaurants here in Hawaii to eat at. This just happens to beone of my favorites.

reid--

sad to say, but million is 21 hour no more. they don't serve lunch at all and they are open from, i think, five pm (forget what time they close) every day but monday. found that out the hard way, when i had already spent a good five minutes talking it up with my friend, who had never been there. we were looking forward to the beef intestine stew. we ended up at choi's garden, which has no such stew. i had a squid stew but it was more soupy than stew-ey. =( but if you do go to choi's garden, they have an EXCELLENT spicy butterfish. in fact, my former boss, who is korean, says mrs. choi does the best spicy squid stir fry in town. alas, we were in the mood for stew, and sodonggong wasn't gonna cut it. but anyway...yep. million not open 21 hours no mo.

If you like Bi-Bim Bap then you have to try dol-sot bi-bim bap which comes in a large scalding hot stone bowl which makes the rice touching the bowl crispy.

This is our favorite restaurant in Hawaii. A little rough around the edges, but go there hungry and you won't be disappointed. The bulgogi yakiniku is great, make your own lettuce "tacos" with whatever topings you like. No two are alike. Go there with clothes you can toss into the washer immediately when you get home...you will reek. But a good kind of reek. Like BBQ and kimchee. See my review and site at http://home.hawaii.rr.com/gonebananas. Aloha

Equipment

  • Canoneos5d
    Canon EOS 5D

Most of the newer photos on this site are being taken by this camera. I'm still learning how to use it, but I think the photos it takes are amazing. Though the lens I use often varies, many of the photos on this site are taken with a Canon EF 35mm f2.0 lens.

  • Dscu40r
    Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-U40

A majority of the photos on this site were shot using this little camera. It was compact and discreet -- excellent for taking photos under most conditions. Sadly, it has recently died.
