Kuru Kuru Sushi

I first discovered Kuru Kuru Sushi a couple of years back and was I glad to have found this place.  A worthy competitor to Genki Sushi, this conveyor belt sushi restaurant serves decent food at affordable prices.  The prices have increased a bit over the last year (the spicy tuna donburi increased from $5.00 to $7.50), but for the price, this place really can't be beat.  Try to stop by on a weekend evening, and you'll see just how popular this place is.

My fiancee and I try to get out to Kuru Kuru over Genki nowadays if we have the urge for some Kaiten sushi. The selection is a little more diverse and the food is a tad better quality for a cheaper price. Can't really argue with that!

I know! I started coming here soon after they opened; I happened to go last Friday night and it was ridiculously crowded. I'm glad to see they're doing well, but I don't like having to wait for 30-40 min to get my Kuru Kuru fix.

love all your shots of the sushi and the conveyor belt :)

Hi Reid - That's some interesting Kaiten zushi....both the poke and the kalbi nigiri really got my attention.

That looks good - gives me a few ideas for when I make sushi next.

Gosh that looks good..

I just tried out this place this past Sunday and was surprised how good it was. The selection is different from Genki's and I think maybe even a little fresher. I think the picture above the Spicy Unagi is the Rainbow Maki. It was kind of nice to have stuff like the Unagi with cream cheese roll and the Texas Roll (kalbi maki) for the people who aren't raw fish lovers.

Reid, love your pictures! The last time I was on Oahu, I ended up choosing Genki Sushi over Kuru Kuru. The Mister has this thing about conveyor belt sushi places (who knows). But I think a visit to Kuru Kuru will change his mind.

Most of the newer photos on this site are being taken by this camera. I'm still learning how to use it, but I think the photos it takes are amazing. Though the lens I use often varies, many of the photos on this site are taken with a Canon EF 35mm f2.0 lens.

A majority of the photos on this site were shot using this little camera. It was compact and discreet -- excellent for taking photos under most conditions. Sadly, it has recently died.
